Whatever engine powers your Avenger it'll be covered by our exclusive Lifetime Powertrain

Tame the elements.

Electronic Stability Program[1] (ESP) is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicle during extreme steering maneuvers. ESP[1] senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels. The control you'll feel is astonishing.

An important aspect of ESP[1], Avenger's traction control system, is tuned for on-road activity during normal operation. When wheel spin occurs the system maintains traction by applying the brakes and in some cases closing the throttle to minimize spin during acceleration.

Nothing but the best.

Because we have such a high level of confidence in all the Dodge vehicles we build, the vast majority of them come with the best-in-the-business Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty[1] with unlimited mileage. This is an exclusive warranty that covers the cost of parts and labor needed to repair the engine, transmission and/or drive system of your 2009 Dodge Avenger.

Our 3-year / 36,000-mile Basic Limited Warranty[2] provides bumper-to-bumper coverage of your vehicle, from the body to the electrical. The Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty[1] covers the powertrain for as long as you own your Dodge Avenger.

So enjoy choosing your model, colors and fabrics, and know that there is one choice you won't have to make – protection for your powertrain. We've made that decision for you. For more information talk to your dealer or check out our Frequently Asked Questions to get all the details.

It's what you don't see that's important.

Behind the wheel of an Avenger, you're surrounded by advanced features designed to help keep you safe and secure in the event of a collision.

All Avenger models feature standard:

  • Next-generation multistage driver and front-passenger airbags
  • Supplemental seat-mounted side airbags
  • Supplemental side-impact inflatable air curtain airbags

Avenger's unitized upper body forms a structural safety cage that provides excellent protection.

  • The front structure is composed of multiple crush zones that absorb energy.
  • Dual-phase steel helps protect occupants by absorbing energy in a controlled manner.
  • The collapsible steering column compresses up to 4 inches, absorbing energy as the driver contacts the deploying airbag.
